Welcome back. There is a warning for Samsung users with at least 70 devices having trouble connecting to triple zero according to Telstra. The Telco says testing found 11 older Galaxy models including the 2017 A7, A5 and J5 as well as the 2016 J1 and J3 are among those impacted.

It says dozens of other devices are also experiencing issues and should be updated to the most recent software available.

The devices that are unable to have a software update to fix this issue will need to be blocked. People that use those devices will need to obtain a new device and there are other devices in the market which can be fixed with a software update. So what users are being encouraged to do today, if they can update their software, if they own one of those devices that has been tested and shown to have an issue, that will mean that they should still be able to make a triple zero call via an alternative network even if their usual network operator has a disconnection.
